With the upcoming release of Ste Essence - Seek Bromance ft Vicky Jackson on 26th April. Team Fidget caught up with Ste for a little chat.

First of all, congratulations on the track. How does that feel? You must be excited.
Yeahn I'm really excited. It's a tune I ain't stopped loving since I produced it. A real uplifting track and I love working with Vicky; she's amazing.

Tell us a bit about you ?
Music is my life. The end.

What projects do you have going on at the moment?
I've got quite a bit goin' on production wise. I just can't seem to leave the studio alone. I've got a few remixes to be released. As we speak, one is being considered by a huge label which I cant say nothing about until its 100% confirmed. And I'm working on some more original music, but loads of tracks at different stages as I wait for vocalists and stuff.

Tell us about your most embarrassing moment?
Haha, I try not to embarrass myself too much, especially in the day and age of camera phones ha. But accidentally ejecting the wrong cd while I'm djing; that's embarrassing.

If you could have a beer with anyone past or present who would it be and why?
Hmmm, that's really hard. I've never been asked that before. I guess it depends; I could sit and put the world to rights with someone like Noam Chomsky, who I consider to be the most intelligent man alive; I could talk music with someone like Carl Cox, because who couldn't learn a thing or two from him, but if it's just a beer then I guess someone funny like George Carlin.

Favorite track past of present
Ahhh, that's difficult!! Just one? Errrr, Shades of Rhythm - Sound of Eden will always be special for me.

What is the most rock n roll thing to have happened to you to date?
That's a tough one. I guess finishing off an amazing set at Gatecrasher one night all the lights came on and the crowd refused to leave. They just stood there chanting "one more, one more" until I played one more track. Makes me feel like a rock star when things like that happen.

If you could have a super power, what would be?
Time travel. I wish I could go back to the late 80's and early 90's and witness first hand the beginning of rave culture.

What do you do to get away from music?
I like to just walk in the countryside with my dogs. It so peaceful it helps me think clearly. I also love to watch films, Goodfellas being one of my all time faves.

What moment do you remember clearest from the last 10 years?
Giving my other half her engagement ring in Paris one night as the lights on the Eiffel Tower twinkled behind us.

Anything else you want to say? Any shouts?
Erm, yeah ..... a big thanks to everyone who has supported me over the years. Big respect to everyone from B33 who has followed me to so many events to watch me play. A shout out to all the Flashback ravers who I shared some of my best memories with. Big respect to all the promoters who've booked me and DJ's who've played my tunes. All my family and friends for being there in general. Special thanks to Barry, Charlie, Paul & Sharon at Fidget for believing in me, Vicky for her amazing vocals on this track and last but not least my fiancee Sarah for putting up with me.
